could you use a "full version" to do a mac os "upgrade"?



or can you only get an upgrade to do an upgrade?

    If you mean OS 9 to OS 10, Yes you can use a full install disc. If you mean 10.0 to 10.1 then yes you do need an upgrade cd. You can buy a 10.1 upgrade cd at <a href="http://www.macmall.com/macmall/osx/default.asp"; target="_blank">MacMall.com</a>.All you have to pay is $9.95 for shipping. Make sure you buy 4 at a time, i'ts the same price as if you were to buy one.

    Actually, if you want to go from 10.0.x to 10.1.x you can use either the upgrade CD or the full install CD. The *only* difference between thetwo is a tiny CheckForOSX file that makes the upgrade installer look for an existing installation before running.
