There is a kit that allows you to take some Windows games and run them under the Mac system but it's not official and it doesn't work in all cases. Only a handful of games have been made to run. GTA Vice City, NFSU 2, Hitman Contracts. They take parts of games that use Cider to run on the Mac.
Codeweavers seem to have separated the Mac Crossover into a gaming package now so that might be your best bet for performance:
I wouldn't rely on it myself nor would I go with Parallels or VMWare. I'd say to give up on PC gaming altogether and buy a console. After using an XBox 360 and seeing the graphics quality that comes out for the price, I'd take it any day.
The games are more expensive but you can trade them in or sell them and people will still want them.
Also, I've looked at MACs on ebay and I don't think I'm going to purchase one.
Do they make Flight Simulator X for Xbox?
No they don't make MS Flight Sim for the XBox - probably isn't interesting enough for console gamers, they only make combat sims. But you can run Windows natively if you need games like that. The two conditions are that you get an Intel-based Mac not PPC and one with a good graphics card. So X1600 minimum. The 17" iMac with the X1600 is probably the cheapest option but obviously limits you to a 17" display.
Star Wars Battlefront works on a Mini under Windows so maybe the Flight Sim would too but you'd get a much better experience with a dedicated card.
Thanks, I think I'm going to get a Xbox 360 and hook it up to my 21" monitor with the Xbox VGA cable. Where can i find a Xbox 360 for around 100-150 dollars?

but maybe try a local games shop first because they should give you a year's warranty. XBox's are well known for the red ring of death - Microsoft might replace them outside of warranty but I'm not sure.
Thanks alot for your help. It's nice to talk to someone on a forum who is helpful and not rude. I think I have all of the information I need for the moment.
