.Mac Web Gallery and Homepage question

I'm thinking of upgrading from iLife '05 to iLife '08 and I'm not sure that I understand the difference between Web Gallery and Homepage. Are the two entirely separate? What happens to my homepage when I update to iLife '08? Is there some sort of conversion process to Web Gallery? Thanks.
