Safari URL Autocomplete

Hi Folks,

Quick question, hoping for a quick solution! My browser's url field used to autocomplete url addresses with "http://www."; in the front end, and ".com" in the back end. I recently upgraded to Leopard from Tiger, and somehow lost this feature. Not such a big loss, mind you, but I've found it useful. I've been scouring the forums for a fix, to no avail! I've also recently updated the browser itself. I've looked into Safari Preferences (this appears to be separate from the Autofill feature) and DNS settings, and still can't isolate the problem. It may be helpful to note that this was Safari's default behavior in Tiger, and it didn't require any special settings. I appreciate your input, as always.

Confounded,

sino

This sounds strangely familiar. I think there was a thread about this already. But for me, if I just type in "cnn" into the address bar, Safari puts the "http://www."; at the beginning and ".com" at the end.

    Running Leopard here too.

    edit: yeah, here's the thread.
