Delete Aliases?owner is system
Work switched to a new server, new name, password, etc. The share drive server connections are aliases to the old server and old identity. Having trouble connecting to the new server using smb. Tried using the IP address, signed in with new name and password-won't connect, message- name or password not correct. Cannot remove or delete aliases, get info has them owned by the system. I'm the administrator.
I used Network Utility to Ping the server - 10 sent, 10 received. I'm the only Mac on a PC network, so am my own IT person!
Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated. I've been searching but no luck as yet. Thank you!
Used remote desktop connection to login to the server with the generic password/changed password and that seemed to unlock everything else. No trouble with accessing the share drives.
