Obviously, im expecting apple to include a Blu-ray Disc Drive Burner (apparent delays in last refresh according to Appleinsider) and itll be dual layer and 2x write, slot loading

Count on it...Dell, HP, and others are starting to put the drives in their offerings...we can't be having PCs offerings outdue Apple's offerings now can we?

Show me an affordable slot loading Blu-ray Recorder.

They're as rare as hens teeth. Remember PC companies go with the cheaper spring loaded drives.

    Expect 2009 at the earliest.

It's definitely not a positive no, and it's definitely not a positive yes.

I would think it would come a little later, maybe for next year's MacWorld or WWDC.

I don't think Apple will offer blu-ray standard anytime soon; I mean heck, even now the baseline macbook doesn't even have a super drive! I think blu-ray will be offered as an extra (expensive) option first in mac pros, and then trickling into the other lines. But standard? no way. There is just no need/demand for it yet from the majority of the market.

I think the superdrive will be around for a bit longer -

I'd love for the new MBP's to have an option of no Superdrive and a 2nd HDD bay instead \
