hello!

i have an airport extreme that is connected to the internet through cable modem. i just got another airport extreme to use in the next room to print, etc. is there anyway i can join the network instead of physically connecting through ethernet to join the two? when i try to configure the 2nd airport extreme, it keeps on saying nothing is plug into the ethernet, error. i am very confused... thank you for your help! have a great day!

Yes. Look up WDS in the documentation.

The extreme hooked up to the cable modem is your main.

The extreme hooked up to you printer in the next room is a remote.

This is an older article I found via google. Try the help function in the Extreme and look for WDS for up to date instructions.
