I have 30" and programs open always to far away...

Hi,



I have a 30" cinema and running mac os x 10.5.2, each time i hope for example a quictime movie while i'm in the lower right screen it opens in the top left part of the screen, since i have so much real estate it's annoying, it takes a time to get my mouse of there to drag it to the lower left, any tips ?

    Yeah, I'm pretty well endowed and sometimes I have trouble coping with it.



    You could increase the tracking speed of your mouse in system prefs > keyboard & mouse and if it doesn't let you go fast enough, there is 3rd party software that lets you increase the mouse acceleration - I think USB overdrive lets you do this.



    Your mouse already has acceleration on it so if you move it in short, sharp movements, it should move farther than moving it in an even motion.



    It depends on the mouse too. I have a notebook mouse and they have faster acceleration curves than standard mice. As I say though, there is software that will let you alter the curve.

    For some reason, I'm not feeling a whole lotta sympathy Seriously, a lot of apps have default starting window locations. Not sure if QT does or not. Also check to see if your mouse is on maximum acceleration.
