appleinsiders servers slow?

Am I the only one who has incredible trouble connecting to appleinsider?

Of all the hundreds of websites I visit a week, it is the slowest of them all.

Sometimes it takes 20 seconds, sometimes I cant connect whatsoever.

Been like it for at least a year, but getting progressively worse.

I'm wondering if appleinsider are actually aware of the problem? Maybe the owner accesses the site through a fast pipe and are blissfully unaware. i dunno. just incase, now you know!

I live in england and I regularly access the site from different peoples houses/offices and its consistently slow wherever i go.

It's still one of my favorite websites, I just wish I could view it properly, thats all.

Between 4am and roughly 11am GMT the connection becomes fairly reasonable(your ping was within those hrs). I'm able to browse appleinsider fine right now. But I'm trying to cut down on all nighters, and will usually miss that small window of opportunity to browse at reasonable speeds.

AppleInsider web site itself seems okay for me, it's just my Geography (Asia) / ISP etc. Ah well, will probably be in the UK in a few weeks time. Then I will start complaining about the weather instead of IntarWeb connecxiones.

Here currently though I find if I regularly restart my DSL modem it seems to then pick up if it got laggy. Reset Safari caches, etc.

Today I have had this for hours... "Safari could not open the page ?http://appleinsider.com/? because the server is not responding."

Yet when I ping it would appear fine...

    64 bytes from 207.58.150.187: icmp_seq=0 ttl=47 time=104.122 ms

    64 bytes from 207.58.150.187: icmp_seq=1 ttl=47 time=101.169 ms

    64 bytes from 207.58.150.187: icmp_seq=2 ttl=47 time=108.527 ms

    64 bytes from 207.58.150.187: icmp_seq=3 ttl=47 time=114.816 ms

    64 bytes from 207.58.150.187: icmp_seq=4 ttl=47 time=101.034 ms

Any idea whats going on? Appleinsider is practically useless to me during waking hours.

Every other site I ever use works perfectly fine.
