Video Question: Handbrake and Going from iPod Classic to iPod Touch

I currently have about 8 - 9 GB of video on my iPod Classic encoded from Handbrake using the iPod High-Rez setting. At some point later this year I'll be buying an iPod Touch. I notice Handbrake has a iPhone/iPod Touch setting. My question, does anyone know if the video encoded with the iPod High-Rez setting be able to make full use of the iPod Touch's screen resolution (width x height)?
