iSub support in Jaguar??
Wondering if anyone has noticed if full iSub support has been implemented in OSX.2
As of now there is no bass control, and overall very poor sound (out of sync, rattles, etc.).
There are currently over 120 other people feeling the same way in Apple's discussion forums. (Probably would be more if not for the fact that it takes for ever to get through that many posts in one thread).

<strong>Where's that Rage Pro support?</strong><hr></blockquote>
I thought the main reason why they didnt do that was because any performance gains that would result from resources being wasted on Rage Pro Support in X were negligable... kinda like why they ddnt code QE for rage 128 chipsets or cards on a PCI bus...
I could be wrong, and If i am a simple link will do, no need to re-hash the argument and muddy this thread up...

the performance gains could at least match those of OS 9.
OpenGL hardware acceleration
QT acceleration
Possible limited 2d acceleration
the first 2 are likely possible. the 2nd is definitely possible. the third should be possible at the same level as rage 128s
I seem to recall hearing something about how iMacs had special hardware to control iSubs, and the other Macs didn't. Can anyone confirm or deny that? If so, well, we have a problem. If not, it's basically up to Apple to decide whether to support the iSub across their product lines.
If they don't support the iSub on (CRT) iMacs soon... that's just lame. But we'll see when 10.2 is released.

And who did you hear that from? I know it was not Apple because Apple has said almost nothing about dropping support for older iMacs other than they are supported just not the the way they should be.
