I'd like to take some of the songs I've got and cut them down to a short clip. Is there any OS X program that will allow me to do that (I have a normal macbook, non-pro)? I'd really appreciate any help.

The are tons of apps for cutting audio.

Garageband for starters. Should have come with your machine.

Amadeus Pro is good and not expensive.

If these are songs you've recorded, Amadeus also includes a denoiser that isn't bad (for the price) at eliminating some of the inevitable noises that get into the audio.

    Or there's always QuickTimePro.
