Hitachi Travelstar 5K320 with Macbook Pro
Has anyone installed and used one of these drives with a MacBook/Pro? A local computer store here has an amazing price on this drive, (with mail in rebate
). At one point I was considering a WD Scorpio (which has also plummeted in price) but I read that their anti-shock functionality occasionally conflicted with Apple's Sudden Motion Sensor and caused kernel panics. While I heard this was resolved in more recent units, it still made me gun shy of going with the Scorpio.
