Changing disk icon problem
I sure would appreciate some help, please.
I'm using 10.1.4 on a new DVI TiBook. I tried to change a disk icon for one of my partition volumes from the standard "bare drive" image and now that volume has no image. Here's how it happened.
First, I pasted in an image and it worked but the image was so small it appeared as a tiny dot. So then I tried to get back to where I was by copying and pasting in one of the standard "bare drive" images from another volume. That left me with no image for that volume. Efforts to paste in any image get no results.
Please

[quote]The Finder often has trouble refreshing after some icons change, namely for apps and drive icons. You may have to relaunch the Finder (or log out and back in) for the changes to take effect.

[quote]That's a known bug also. Simply log out or relaunch the Finder to force it to refresh.

Yes and no.
I had searched. Came up null. Search Engine must have been gimpy. Meanwhile, I restored to bare drive icon by selecting the "blank" space in the "Get Info" window and hitting Cmmnd-X. The original icon reappeared. Thanks for your tip, though. I'll try that later. Are you using 10.1.4 Build 5R60? I'm getting quite a few odd results from recommendations that work on other builds and versions.
