Mobile Me Storage: Is it new and different?

One thing that caught my eye about MM is the online storage.

From watching the demo and reading a little bit it seems that MM allows you to access your files from .. The Web, the Finder via a mounted disk and also from Windows via a mounted share of some kind.

Is that correct? It seems like the perfect solution? Too good to be true?

Do other online storage solutions offer all that? What about MS Sharepoint? It doesn't seem to. Google docs doesn't afaik.

That alone would make me pay $100 a year for MM.

You forgot to mention: MORE MEMORY!

MM really looks like a good deal. I'm looking forward to putting it to real use.

Do any users of current online storage solutions have a comment?

Dot-Mac already does all that, but it's SLOOOOOOOOOWWWW.

I hope they overhauled the whole infrastructure. Seems as if they would have to if all these push features are going to be in action all the time.

They've been trying various kludges to make dot-Mac speed up for years now and nothing has helped. Click "iDisk" and it takes about 20 seconds for the list of directories to appear in the Finder. Upload some files, and it goes to "complete" and then the dialog box says "closing file.." for about a half an hour.

Hopefully they trashed the WebDAV hack and wrote something better.
