AOL Instant messenger screws up w/ it... the box where you type text isn't very pretty if you press the space bar.
Also, when someone signs off it screws that up.
And if you enter in broken text, the main part of the window gets screwed up for half a second.
------------
Alright, AIM finally just crashes and now crashes whenever I send text under Silk. Also, that little exclude thing... doesn't do anything, AIM still shows pretty fonts and still crashes once it shows them.
Yes, I found the exact same experience with AIM while using Silk. I get one IM off, a reply, and then it crashes. After a couple of such crashes, my preferences were zapped, and I had to enter all my information and settings. The input was all messed up just as you described in your post. I tried moving the preference panel to the global area (I originally installed it in my user name, but since I have the only user name on this machine, I figured why not try it), but I still expeience the same behavior. It makes AIM worthless (more worthless than it already is...). Any ideas why this application seems to be the only one effected?
Actually, I have just found, also, that iTunes fails after a restart with Silk installed on my machine. However, it works fine once I restart the application. Anyone else experiencing this problem also?
Yeah Yeah Yeah...more browser preference wars... I like IE a lot, myself, and it looks even better with Silk. The Silk 1.1 did not work well, though, and I just got word of another new version. It seems to resolve all outstanding issues. You can get it here:
I like Omni Web best too...just to say it. I just avoid it for now (being beta and not quite up for prime time), and I lust in awaiting the final version.

It works even better than Silk, and NO HaXXo4 is required!
<strong>Instead of using a hack to get Mozilla and IE to work properly, you could just download this nifty little app and use it:

would be nice if it was standards compliant and relatively fast, but it's not
Also, OW 5 is going to be here soon and it will destroy all other browsers.
