Is my MacBook case a Defect, or design flaw?

Does anyone have problems with MacBook case chipping at the corner where your hand rest?

My MacBook is only 7 months old and never used under extreme condition. The plastic at the edge is very thin and looks fragile... obviously.

And wondering what would Apple do?

a) replace broken cover,

b) replace whole book,

c) money back???

If this is in fact a design flaw, replacing it with the same won't do.

What is your experience with MacBook?

Thanks,

Milonga

Normally, Apple would replace the cover of the machine, if this is the only problem.

What MB have you? I have the black one for nearly half a year now with no issues at all. ** knocks on wood **

I thought the standard response was, "It's a feature!"

Hehe, it may become but it did not start as such.

Mine does that as well -- so does my friend's. Mine is the white one and hers is the black so I think it is just a flaw.
