cyberduck wierd behavior with files over 1gb

I have the following situation with cyberduck:

In the directory of the ftp I have a file which cyberduck clearly identifies as being 9.0GB large. Yet when I go to download it to my computer it shows that I am downloading a 1gb file. I haven't finished downloading said file yet so I don't know what happens with it.

Does anyone know what is going on here? Does CD split up larger files into pieces? Or am I having some sort of problem?

help is much appreciated

See if it errors. I don't think the transfer properties are always correct.

Try (tria) Transmit or Fetch. You can also try CMD+K from FINDER (connect to server) & see what happens there. You will be able to download only from the server.

wow, wierd thing is that after it hit 1gb, it just kept downloading over that amount and time remaining just goes into the negative. I guess I'll just let it keep going and see what happens.

It ended up downloading successfully, the next 9 gig file that I tried showed up properly as 9gb. So, I guess if anyone has this issue, just don't worry and let it do it's thing.
