ZIPing in OSX is starting to piss me off.

Yeah the other topic's tone describes my anger.

I can't use a USB ZIP with X!!! What's going on? Original USB 250 Zip, tried OSX from 10.0 to 10.1.4. Nothing! Just a requester, that i only can format or eject (format helps nothing. Disc is formatted, the next time again unreadable).

Under 9.2 everything is fine!

WTF?!?!?!?!? Help please!

PB

    Works fine for me.

Make sure the AC adapter is plugged in, and don't install any of Iomega's drivers. It works fine without any drivers installed.

Make sure the zip drive is plugged right into the computer or into a powered hub though.

yes, trash iomega drivers (os x will drive your zip just fine) and don't connect to the keyboard...use a usb port directly on you apple...g

    Thanks... But:

    - Zip is directly connected (PB500), no hub

    - AC is in & working

    - No drivers but OSX' own

    - Discs are okay

    - WORKS WITH 9.x.x (!)

    ???,

I have the same problem. I?m using the internal SCSI drive that came with my computer. Always worked under 9, sometimes under X. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Something's screwy with your software or USB port then. I'd say you might want to do a complete clean install of OS X and see if it picks up in that. If so, it was another program that got loaded. If not, it may be hardware related.
