Windows has a really nice tool.

Under XP, it's in the Powertoys and is called Image Resizer.

(Not 'officially' available for Vista.)

What you can do is browse any folder and choose multiple images.

Then, you right click and on the menu that pops up you get an image resize option.

You can resize to the size you want - hey presto, all images are resized (and optimised)!

Is there anything like that for Mac's?

Thanks.

    Automator will do this.

    Create a new Automator action that takes the selected Finder items and scales them. Set the "Scale Images" action to show when run and then save it a Finder plugin.

    thanks for the reply. will try that. sounds good.

    do u know if theres any programs that will add to the right click menu?

    (is it possible to right an application that adds to the right click menu on mac osx?)

    there#s plenty of image resize programs: but u have to install these seperately and they run as a seperate application.

    the ability to have the application run on the right click option is really convienient.

    let me know.

    thanks.

    Yes, if you save the Automator action as a Finder plugin then you will be able to right-click on files in the finder and run the action.
