At least somebody figured it out. It's one of those great things about having an accelerometer.

It's not universal yet, true, but the iPhone does have a landscape keyboard in some places (i.e. the web browser).

Yep, after a year it still hasn't crossed the mind of anyone at Cupertino that it might be beneficial to use that big, comfortable keyboard outside of Safari.
