Making MacOS X API calls in PERL?

Greetings. I am new to the OSX world, and would like to begin porting some of my personal-use code from WinNT to OSX.



I am hoping that someone could point me to a good resource and/or library for handling MacOSX API calls through PERL.

I'm not a programmer, so I am probably wrong, but I think this can be done through <a href="http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/macosx/CoreTechnologies/AppleScriptStudio/"; target="_blank">AppleScript Studio</a>. All you need to do is download(or install it off the CD, if you have it) Apple's Dev tools. Open up the docs on ASS and they should tell you everything about calling OSX API calls through Perl.
