What? No Demos in the App Store?

There are a bunch of apps that I'd like to download for my iPod Touch, but I sure don't wanna spend the money to find out that the app isn't what I'm looking for.
With most other types of programs there is a demo version available.
Is Apple prepared to issue a refund if we don't like the app?

I agree, the MLB app is a piece of crap compared to ScoreMobile's free web app

Much worse - the MLB kid stood on the stage of WWDC and said that the app would be free. I paid for it, but there are many better apps out there.
I'd like to check out Ms Pac Man, but i'm not gonna waste $10 - yes, I know that's only 2 beers, but still.......
