Probably the same as the last two decades (in the UK at least):

    Anything to do with accountancy

    Anything to do with law

Those two open a lot of doors, and they are generally doors at the top of the food chain. You tend to find that a lot of companies are run by accountants and lawyers who have very little knowledge of the products/services that the company actually offers, as a result accountants and lawyers skills are über transferable.

    I'd also venture a third:

Anything to do with the environment

Simply because people can't jump on that particular bandwagon quick enough, and it's only so long before we're taxed to the hilt for breathing!

Doctors make more than nurses. Get a medical degree.

Get an MBA. Get a BS in something, go work a real job, then get an MBA.

Do what you love doing, then you'll never consider it a job.

Well even if it's a job I love, it still has to pay the bills therefore either way it's a job, career, field, passion or how ever you want to label it.

What about extra skills such as languages and other personal traits?

What if you're inclined to work for yourself?
