24" White iMac can't see its Superdrive.
The System Profiler says there are "no ATA devices" on this iMac, but there is a Superdrive. It can take in a CD but won't let it out. It's a 24" White iMac 2.33GHz.
Is there any method to get the iMac to see what's there? Or is this bound to be a hardware problem that requires opening the beast?
Thx.

It's more than likely to be a hardware issue
