anyone know how to fix this one? k, so my friend has had an lcd imac for several months now and recently bought a lexmark z65 printer. he ran the installer for the drivers, and then when going through the setup for it, he is supposed to launch the print center and add the printer. he launches it, and then when he clicks add, the print center "unexpectedly quits" ive tried reinstalling os x from his imac installer cd's, and i tried updating him to 10.1.5, neither of these solved the problem. i was thinking maybe it was a corrupt preference file, but i didnt know where to look for it, i tried all the prefs. folders i could find. i even created a new user and tried printing through that one, and it still didnt work. has anyone else seen this before?

When you say reinstall, do you mean you just used the installer over top of the existing install, or did you wipe the disk and reinstall?

If you haven't wiped yet, delete the Print Center and reinstall OS X. Then try printing.

If that doesn't work, uninstall the drivers (the installer did come with an uninstall option, right?) and try printing without the driver. OS X comes with many drivers by itself, so that may work.

Try this thread from Apples Support. It deals with PrintCenter unexpectedly quitting...

    It worked for me.

    Cheers
