iphone not detected in itunes.....

I am having some trouble with my iphone, in that when its connected my computer seems to recognize it as a camera and opens the Microsoft camera/scanner wizard, even if I try and cancel this, it freezes my machine, its odd, as my normal ipod (colour photo) is fine. Is there an issue with the drivers, or is it the device manager? Any help gratefully appreciated !

    This behavior is by design... well, except for the freezing your computer part. Your iPhone is a camera which is why that app opens.

    its not by design, the first 2-3 times I used itunes it was detected fine, only now is it deciding I have a camera, not an ipod.
