Backup software question?
Hello all,
A friend of mine had the recent misfortune of having a home disaster.
This has got me thinking. I have recently boughten Leopard, and I own legal, original software of the Creative suite, Office, and iwork.
I keep them in a cabinet, but would feel safer if I had backup copies stored in a firesafe box.
How do I make a backup copy, like a clone of these discs? If I legally own them and of course keep them for myself as an emergency back-up, is it ok? I remember doing this with my old windoze software years ago before I switched, but I do not know how to do this with my mac.....
Leopard is a DVD, so I guess I would need a blank DVD. I have not looked, but others may be DVD's or CD's......i'm not sure without looking. In short, how do I make copies of them, so if one of the originals gets scratched, or ruined in some way, I have a backup?
Thanks, Frank D.
