Anyone know where to get latest 2.0.0 iPhone FIRMWARE? I have July 8th
The GPS is off and drives me crazy, a friend frm=om Apple said the 2.0.1 will change the band but thinks I can go back to 2.0.0 if I can find.
In the process now, but last night, when I tried the file called..
iPhone1,2_2.0_5A347_Restore.isp but I got an error.
Its dated July 8th so am hoping there is something newer, then again, that's two days before launch so it must be the latest.
Any ideas on how to revert?
Technique that I am trying..
connect iPhone, iTunes, then EJECT, then hold down SLEEP/HOME, when apple logo appears, let go off sleep and hold HOME, then it sees the phone as needing a restore and I selected the 2.0.0
Can't belive I did this, No problems except lag which was fixed by deleting 3rd party apps, re connecting to iTunes, then re synch and all was well.
So mad that I might return and get a 16 GB just to get 2.0.0, drives me nuts that the GPS is off plus I think it has less battery life, not sure yet, yet no increase in 3G bars.
