iPhone and garmin 360 (BT) works great
I just want to give you all insight on what a great job my garmin nuvi 360 did with my iphone 3g....more and more states are making handsfree required. I have said before i wish for voice dialing and with my blueant car kit (which rocks ) that would satisfy me
but with most car kits you can do last number redial and receive calls hands free with BT and that's it
BUT
when i went to LA had my garmin nuvi 360(BT) hooked up, it displayed my contacts list, recent received AND recent called list AS LISTS, so all i had to do was touch the contact and press dial from the garmin screen and when the person you are taling to hangs up, it disconnects the iphone....hands free i don't have to touch the iphone.
IT WORKED BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS
now if some manufacturer could emulate this interface for a car kit that would rock
i'm going to now use my garmin, instead of my tekkeon (which is good, but has echo problems) my wife has the awesome blueant lght II (no i don't own stock) it has awesome battery life and talk time, we go 3-4 weeks between charges.
i have to test the voice quality and background noise with my wife, but i didn't get any complaints while in LA , SO .....i will trade out my tekkeon car kit for the garmin 360
blueant has a new unit that will work with the iphone contacts as speech to text, i prefer the garmin approach.
do you know of any other car kit that works with the iphone like this garmin?
garmin should get into the BT car kit business use the small screen interface, dld, etc for voice quality to protect it's turf as iphone gets turn by turn gps.
if so let me know of great car kits that works with the iphone
thanks

I have Iphone 3G and Nuvi 360 and could not get the Nuvi to recognize the Iphone Bluetoooth. My wife's Motorola RAZR had no problems syncing. Any thoughts on how I can get the Nuvi to sync with the Iphone?
i went into the settings enabled BT, then paired and it worked, one time i couldn't connect had to repair the iphone (on iphone went to BT and "unpaired" the nuvi, then went through the process as per the operators manual)
now it automatically connects, shows a phone handle bottom of the home screen.
this is new i just got it 2 weeks ago, could there be an update you need if the above doesn't work, then try garmin support.
i wish other BT companies made a touch screen with the garmin abilities.
