Jagwire is not worth my $129
Obviously this is a personal decision, but for me I don't want to spend $129/year to keep my computer up to date when it currently does everything I need it to do. I'm sure Apple will eventually force me to upgrade by making the release of an iApp incompatible with 10.1.x. Until then, I'll wait until I can get an "upgrade" for about $60.
The register is reporting that a version of OS X built on BSD 5.0 is slated for next years upgrade.

My guess is that this will be the release that will give me enough bang for the buck to warrant $129.

You're right. It is a personal decision. Although many are focused on the dollar aspect and that alone doesn't give you all the info that you need to make an informed decision.
That is the most assinine thing I've ever heard. Apple is a Company not your love interest. I'm not interested in discourse with people that take .mac personal and act like some jilted lover.
I say let'em leave...matter of fact I wish they would.
FreeBSD 5.0? Perhaps. FreeBSD's roadmap places the first ~stable release by the end of the year, but most likely that will not be the case.
