6C98 destroys the firmware of most Apple DVD players. It was only discovered when the CDs had been made. Thats why it say on the CD "WARNING: ONLY TO USED ON NON-DVD SYSTEMS". Didn´t you read that?

of course he didn't read that. cuz, more than likely he's not a developer and doesn't have a legit copy.
that's what you get from loading dev copies of software on yer machine cuz you think it makes ya cool.
Actually, it's a valid point... a couple of years ago, I found Carracho and downloaded a *ahem* leaked build. Unstuffed the file, and found just the package... no ReadMe, no documentation, no developer's notes, nothing. I deleted it.
As someone who actually *was* a beta tester for Rhapsody (yes, Rhapsody - pre-Carbon days), and later releases, I can tell you that unless you have a list of +/-s in the new system, known bugs, etc, and you can be reasonably sure that the list hasn't been tampered with, do *not* install it on a system that you care about. (Oh HeraJ41, I still curse thy name...)
I don't mean just the data on your drive, I mean the *hardware*, as evidenced by this.
This isn't a point of ethics, just one of keeping your system in a usable state, even if you wipe the drive clean and start over. As someone who's seen a hacked Installer file in a .pkg that included 'rm -rf ~' as one of the commands, I tend to be distrustful of running anything I find on a site that I can't target with a lawsuit later.
Wow forgot I posted that (yes short attention span. I blame my mother for smoking while pregnant )
Just for clarification: I have as much knowledge about this as a pencils about its existence. My comment was merely to show how great a risk you take by installing beta software (and even more beta OS) without knowing anything else than you found it on Harrocho/Cotline. If it destroyed your computer Apple would probably laugh its collective ass off you.
But its great to know you have earned enough respect to have people believing every word you write....
Oh man, my Combo-drive is damage now. So other who has already loaded down that 6C98 don't even try to install on your Mac! I can't use any CD to startup my system now...

I'm pretty sad about it, but that's what I get.
<strong>I installed 6C98 and it overwrote my car's firmware - it won't go in reverse now.
