iPhone no longer connects to 3G nor Edge?

I updated my iPhone last night, which could or could not be a coincidence but I'm pretty sure it is the main cause of my problem.



I get no 3G nor Edge service now on my phone. This sucks - my phone can't send or receive texts, and I can't use the maps feature which is one of my favorite parts of the phone.



Any way to downgrade my iPhone's firmware? Or any other suggestions to give? I've restarted my phone etc. so simple fixes don't work it seems .



ANY help greatly appreciated!

    Can you plug it into the computer---to itunes and restore?
