New MacBook w/Leopard, irratic network?

It's strange how moody my networking is, sometimes it's fast, and sometimes it just stalls for minutes. My older MacBook(Tiger) doesn't do this at all. Also, my Wi-fi signal strength is at least 1 to 2 bars weaker than my older MacBook. Sometimes, when the connection stops working, I just click on my network on the mini menu at the top of the screen and it seems to jump start it the process.



So, can someone help me resolve this problem?
