My Grips about "Backup"
First of all, I think Backup is a great program and,from looking at it for about an hour, have decided that it is useful. However, I do have some problems with it and have decided this is the best place to bitch about it.
NOTE:I do not have a full .Mac subscription. Just my old iTools account which I plan to convert to a full .Mac account.
First of all, the toolbar. It may look like a tool bar but it is not customizable. There is no sheet that comes down. The only thing that one can change is if it is hidden or not.
Next is the Backups. Maybe people want their computers to do back ups only during the week and not the weekends, or vice-versa.
Finally, is the selection of back ups. I added my "Work" folder which contains many different items. But, I only wanted those items that are AppleWorks or Other kind of Text Files. The only way to do this is by choosing each item on or off. There should be some options just like in Sherlock or in iTunes of choosing a wide range of things, then limiting them by pre-defined choices.
This is my bitch list... and no, I have not nailed it to the door of the Apple Cathedral...
