"Working for Apple Loses One More Perk"

In day's past, working for Apple normally meant decent discounts, not that you could afford it unless you were full time, a CREATIVE, GENIUS or MANAGER, still,

for those living with Mom and Dad, or Uncle Joe, working for Apple sometimes means pocket money and one of the most infamous perks was what Apple refers to as "Refresh" which

is a term that means a product has been replaced by a newer item, a product that has suddenly become obsolete and/or items that customers return as soon as newer (yet more powerful) products

at the same price point released and older units are returned.

It has been confirmed that the "refresh" rate which could be anywhere from 15% (customer return), 10% employee discount, and another 10% EOL (end of life) discounts are no longer

allowed for Apple employee's. So while they continue to work for just a tad above minimum wage (10-15% as a "Mac Specialist"), Apple has taken away, for some anyway, the only way they could ever afford a Mac computer.

Could it be that Apple plans on reducing prices across the board thus making it possible for all employee's to use their 25% once a year discount, or several (3) 15% Friends and Family discount or is it just Apple just being cheap?

Only time will tell.

Stay tuned.

If true, and no price cuts, certainly not cool - they do not get paid very much to begin with.

Genius about $17 (starting), Creative, $16.40, Specialist $10.50 and no commission, US Dollars

    Really Apple, shame on you.

Sorry, but how often do people need to buy a computer? A once a year 25% discount seems pretty fair.

Yea. I get three - four years out of a laptop and I could afford to buy a new one every refresh.

Five finger discount is always open to you at your own risk.

Wow, that is really low. When I worked at a store (albeit a flagship) I was making $12 as a specialist, and that was 6 years ago. When I left I was making nearly $16 an hour, and the Geniuses made nearly $50k at my store.

If the job sucks, work elsewhere. It's not as if we live in a state of feudalism.
