3G unlocked
I will move to the US for 9 months and want to buy an iphone. Don't want to pay 2 years of ATT fees and therefore thought of an unlocked phone over ebay or an ebay iphone I'll unlock myself with FuriouSim or something similar.
Does itunes make any difference with an unlocked phone (i don't need it jailbroken)? Can I install firmware updates, synchronize with my mac, etc.?
Can I use it normally (phone, internet over UMTS,..) with non-ATT Sim Cards and when returning to europe any european sim?
Probably this problem is discussed somewhere in the forum but I couldn't find any relating thread.
