Cute. But I think that design is more along the lines as something coming from a 3rd party manufacturer. I'm not sure if thats something that is going to come from Apple themselves. Good design though.

round ≠ ergonomic, but nice pic.

I'm saying that apple need to make a more portable laptop friendly mouse. This is actually their mouse design(almost). They shipped almost the same designed mouse with the iMac G3s back in 2000 or so:

    Noooo, not the puck.

The Mighty Mouse should just go and Apple should bundle these with all Macs:

or maybe these if they want Bluetooth:

If the wireless receiver in the first one worked in the keyboard port of the Apple keyboard then there's no problem over it using up a port.

Lol, i don't understand why people dont like the puck. I like it.

The whole point of my design is that apple should make a more portable laptop friendly mouse. Those two aren't very portable, they are pretty big. I like the might mouse, i think it works very well. Its not the most comfortable, but it works well.

Blimey, have you not learned from the terrible round mouse that came with the original iMacs?

It often goes the wrong way round so the button ends up not under your finger. A long shape ensures that it always stays pointing forward.

If you mean the two I posted, they aren't big. They are designed for portables. Look at the size of the Microsoft one here:

    and the VX nano here:

The Logitech one looks better IMO but I don't like the receiver. Their bluetooth models are either too expensive or ugly.

Microsoft mice are great and cheap too. You can get the bluetooth one (note it's a 1000dpi laser mouse) for just £20.

I think he means we hated it! Hard to hold; cord got in the way. I liked the look of your Mouse though. The button pushing and squeezing the sides might get i the way, though.

Why does not someone come up with a track-ball like device that does not need to be moved at all but does the mouse job without being a trackpad? I loved the old Logitech Cordless Track Man II which I'm still using with my iMac 24". Of course I'm right-thumbed so it worked for me; a lefty would be in trouble.

Id buy one just because it would take me back to my iMac G3 days every time I used it.

I have the VX nano that I use with my MBP. 3 mighty mice have gone bad on me.

Yes, it's a black mouse next to a white keyboard. At least it doesn't suck.

I've owned it's big brother for over a year, highly recommended. Best mice ever!
