When I bought my iPod touch...

I connected it to iTunes and it said my iPhone didnt have a SIM card in it and to put one in it. I have a iPod touch not an iPhone o___O When I reconnected it to iTunes it was back to normal. This ever happen you anyone else? Should I be worried about this? I'm a worry wart.
