With all the focus on quartz extreme, etc. in Jag, the promised CUPS printing support seems to have been forgotten. I'm wondering, since I'm not about to get involved in the hassle of partitioning and installing all kinds of betas to find out, how well this has been implemented. Also, USB printer sharing is supposed to be making a return, and I for one, am very interested in how good both of these implementations will turn out to be.



Specifically, I'm wondering if anyone can comment on thier experiences with getting slightly older printers (Epson StylusPhoto 1200, especially) to work in Jag.

    I haven't seen any GUI for CUPS, but maybe it's integrated perfectly into the new Print Center (version 2.0). I have an EPSON Stylus COLOR 740 and plugged it in via USB. It worked perfectly.



    Unfortunately, while there *is* a nearly flawless SMB File Sharing, there does not seem to be SMB Printer Sharing.
