More Jaguar Clean Install Questions....
I will be doing a clean install of Jaguar. Hopefully someone can answer this for me...
I need 9.2....
- Should I boot to 9.2 cd, format, install 9.2, then upgrade....
-or-
- Should I boot to Jag cd, format, install 9.2 later (I have heard this isn't so easy)
I will be clearing the HD either way...
The only program I need 9.2 for is Dreamweaver 4 and until I get the cash to buy the new one.. ...btw how easy will it be to get rid of 9.2 completely when I do have the money?
Thanks everybody !
Chuck

You'll have far less potential trouble that way.
slightly OT, but I heard that you can do a clean install while still saving the home folder, is this still around? I have about 7GB of MP3s that I dont really want to lose and have no way to back up.

Yes, it's still around and it works perfectly... it's worked perfectly the last 4 times I've done it anyway. Very handy feature.

ummm... was there a reason why you had to install it four times? You meant to do that, right? And not because Jaguar totally hosed your hard drive, leaving it a pile of dribbling electrons?
Or are you just speaking about OS X in general, as in you've installed it four times?

Do 9.2 first. Getting rid of 9.2 later is as easy as throwing the System Folder in the trash.
