4g IPOD PHOTO software

I just bought a new Kenwood car stereo that can control an IPOD through a usb port.

It shows the name of the song/artist on the display.

The spec say that it will work only with an 5th gen. IPOD or newer. I have a 4 gen IPOD PHOTO COLOR. I knew that it may not work and it doesn't. Does anyone know if you can update the software in a 4 gen to a 5 gen. I know that the video won't work but maybe the stereo can read it.

    Nope. You cannot. You have to get a USB iPod to work with the USB connection you describe. Older ones are Firewire.
