iTunes ate my downloaded tunes!

Hi all,

This is my first post on a site like this. I will be very grateful for your advice and help with this problem.

Recently I purchased two albums from the iTunes store (here in Australia).

The download commenced, as they always have done in the past.... but then I got an error message (for each track!). The message said I have a problem with permissions, and the tracks did not appear to completely download.

I have paid for them, of course. But there is no record of them having been downloaded to my iTunes folder.

I have attempted to repair permissions using the "sudo command line" in terminal.

Subsequently I have checked and I appear to be the "owner" of the app, the folder, the HD when I check "sharing and permissions" (Apple+i).

This is not the first time I have had issues with permissions (they've been an issue since I migrated the contents of the HD of my old G4 Powerbook to my MacBook Pro.

Anyway, I would like to attempt to re-download the albums - I've contacted Apple but after 5 days still no reply. Is this a common problem?

Can someone out there offer some advice?

thanks in advance,

    From the "Store" menu

    "Check Available Downloads"

If they don't show up after choosing this option you will have to contact Apple.

thanks for your reply. As I've said in the title, no luck there.

I did contact Apple via a link in the Store, but no reply.

Is there another way to contact them?

    cheers,
