Plastic MacBook Price Lower by Black Friday

I sure hope this happens, because I'm holding out until then to see if it lowers, otherwise I will try for the new MacBook. If there is a $400-500 difference between the older plastic model and the new aluminum, I'd have to buy the older. At the current price disparity, it's worth it to go up $300 to get the newer model.



Any chance of this happening?

    I'd say somewhere between zero and none, but who knows.



    Although they're gone now, Apple had refurbished white Macbooks for $849 the other day. Same specs as the $999 model except for a combo drive instead of a super. They'll be back in the refurb store before Thanksgiving.

    I wouldn't keep my hopes up. Apple isn't much of one for sales.

    I think I will still hope for one, but if a refurb comes up I'll have to jump on it.
