Staples

When 10.0 came out last year, the Office supply store Staples was allowing the purchase of the OS days before the release date. This was done by asking one of the clueless Staples workers to "see if they had any in the back room"

I was wondering if anyone has tried the same trick [I did for 10.0, and it worked!]?

Anybody?

I'm sure after that happened last year Apple stopped letting Staples sell Apple software.

I work at Staples, and I certainly haven't even seen a shipment of 10.2 yet.

haha... thats reminds me of some funny stories. The staples close to my home carries very little apple software - in fact they STILL have 10.0 on the shelf. I called about the 10.1 upgrade, and the sales guy told me they didn't carry the Mac OS or any upgrades. I had to inform him that I bought OSX 10.0 there the previous March. When I went to get 10.0 on March 24, the sales guy working told me that it hadn't been released yet. Then he went to check and told me that they had received it but they weren't allowed to sell it for another week. After checking his schedule again, he finally realized I was right and sold me the software. They don't have any business selling Apple software, but unfortunately where I live no one else sells any, so it's all we have.
