What a joke, I get 17,000 to 20,000 kbps with cable.

You are extremely fortunate many people on cable are lucky to even get 1-2Mbps.

Who said anything about MY Verizon FiOS? How that addresses Verizon FiOS not dwarfing your Cable service is still waiting to be addressed.

Here's an irony for you: I live in the biggest center for high-tech R&D in the world, and all we have here are AT&T DSL and Comcast. Both are rubbish.

More evidence of competition dragging our sorry state of broadband into the future.

Nobody was talking about your address. I posted a quote from Verizon about my address, which makes whatever they offer moot in my case. I have the fastest service available at my address and it's faster than 7 mbps, which was my point to begin with. What's more, my cable service is cheaper than anything Verizon offers, and it's month to month, so there's no long term contract to sign
