Restore User's Applications Folder Contents

When using a standalone computer, I accidentally did something to delete the user's application folder contents. All of the applications files are still on the Macintosh HD, but there is nothing in the user's application folder. Is there an easy way to restore this problem, not with an alias but to the osx original state?

    You can use Pacifist and extract the applications from the install disc. 3rd party apps would have to be restored manually.
