iPhone and Verizon?

Does anyone have any information as to whether Apple and Verizon are in negotiations now concerning the release of a Verizon iPhone or a smaller iPhone Nano for sometime in early 2009? The rumor I heard is that Verizon hopes to have negotiations concluded soon or by no later than year's end.

    Keep dreaming. Verizon will go with a fork of Android and lock it down before it bothers with Apple.
