OS X Leopard Doesn't Register Mouse Clicks...
Okay, basically, I'm using a 2nd Gen Macbook Pro, Core 2 Duo pre-Santa Rosa. Fresh leopard install. Standard Microsoft 2-button and scroll wheel mouse. No 3rd party drivers, no funny software. Just a generic USB mouse plugged into the MBP.
Once in a while, like maybe 5 or 6 times a day on a 8 hour work schedule, Leopard will either not register the click at all, or it will register it twice, one click as I press down, and another click as I release it.
I've made sure the mouse is clean, and this did not happen on Tiger. The only thing I can think of is a bug in the driver.
I've searched around Google to no avail. I'm hoping this can be resolved.
On another seemingly unrelated note, I've seen a bug in Leopard where when I click a background window, the toolbar up top will change, and the window itself will darken as it should as the now-active window, but it actually stays behind the previous now-inactive window. It's almost as if the OS made the call, but the instruction that actually pulls the window forward fails. Again, this bug seems to be Leopard only, and I'm wondering what would've changed to necessitate that...
Thanks in advance.
