This is taking forever......over 1/2 hour already, and the timer says I've got another 40 to go.....is this normal?

Yes, that's normal. This isn't a minor update by any means. Just about every single component of the system has been upgraded and has to be replaced.

    Holy crap!!!!!

Jagwire is damn FAST!!!!!!!!! More accurately, Quartz EXTREME! (I can't help it) is adding some serious slinky fastness.

I feel like I'm on drugs watching things flit about and snap into place (windows resizing still sucks, however).

    Even web browsing seems faster.

    Jet, on the iBook

oops, forgot to log out of my stupid joke account!

So, as I was saying (see above), I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH FASTER JAG IS!!!!!

I'm dead serious folks. I had just about become accustomed to the slower way of doing things (I am a switcher), but now responsiveness matches my Athlon XP box.

    It literally is mind-jarring.

Go out and get Jag now.

My install (upgrade) took about an hour total. Maybe in a couple months I will do I clean install of OS 10.2 but for now it is working great and love it.

I did a clean install, so my installation took 20-25 minutes. Sorting out what I wanted to keep from my cloned HDD took a bit longer (still sorting!)

Mine took about 20 minutes. I unchecked the printer drivers and a language kit or two.
